may 31, 1921 - Tulsa Massacre (May 31, 1921 - Jun 1, 1921) After a young African American man was accused of assaulting a woman in an elevator, newspaper articles are released suggesting a lynching. African American military veterans come to his aid, and a shot is fired accidentally. Chaos begins, black people are killed in the streets, and incendiary agents are dropped from planes on their town. Everything is burnt to the ground and the town never recovered fully.
