jan 1, 2348 BC - The Flood
Description:
Estimated, based on literal take on Biblical chronology as the flood happened when Noah was 600 years old.
The flood narrative has parallel stories as found in the Gilgamesh epic, among others. In all cases, the accounts involve divine anger, the hero being warned by a god of an impending flood, and is given instruction to build a boat to save himself and the animals.
There has been no conclusive geological evidence for a world-wide flood and scholars and theologians disagree on the actuality of this account.
