jan 1, 1764 - The Sugar Act
Description:
The Sugar Act was put in place by the British Parliament, in an attempt to tax the Colonists. It was replacing the Molasses Act of 1733. The Sugar Act was more enforced, and the taxation was half as small. Because of this, Britain thought that the colonists wouldn't object as much. The colonists did object, and hated the Sugar Act.
