Description:
On April 8, 1865 the battle that triggered the events that ended the civil war occurred. Robert E. Lee had a plan to collect food supplies at the courthouse but before he could get there Gen. George A. Custer who was leading Union got there first. With Lee’s army now surrounded and trapped a message was sent out for Lee and Grant which led to the surrendering of Robert E. Lee.
