jun 9, 1917 - Bolshevik-Incited Demonstration Failures and Lenin's call for legitimacy

Description:

Bolsheviks make an open proclamation calling for both civilians and soldiers to fill the streets of the capital and condemn the provisional government, and demand an immediate end to the war. Meanwhile, Lenin was being ridiculed politically, since the Bolsheviks were actually a minority. When Lenin implied that his party was willing to accept the responsbility of leading the nation, he was mocked and the others vetoed the idea at the time.
