Post-win in Buxar, treaties signed with
- Shuja-ud-Daula
* Awadh made a kinda buffer state for the British and also obligation to protect Awadh from Marathas & Afghans
* surrender Allahabad and Kara to Emperor Shah Alam II
* pay 50 lakh to the company as war indemnity
* give Balwant Singh, zamindar of benaras full control lof his estate
- Shah Alam II ---> to be protected by British, issuing Farman for Diwani rights of Bengal, Bihar, Orissa instead of an Annual payment of 26 lakh
- The British used Shah Alam II as the rubber stamp of the company
The company appointed Mohammad Reza Khan(Bengal) & Raja Shitab Rai(Bihar) as Deputy-Diwan
