Turkish President Erdoğan denounces and withdraws from the Istanbul Convention by a presidential decree with the excuse of the movement becoming integrated with the fight for LGBTQA+ rights, "Turkey is not the only country with concerns about the Istanbul Convention...six members of the European Union (Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechia, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovakia) did not ratify the Istanbul Convention.
