Bacon's Rebellion occurred in 1676 because there were angry colonists who thought circumstances were unfair in Jamestown, Virginia. Many frontiersman thought that Powhatan tribes had more resources and land to survive and use. They were angry at this so, they went and attacked the Powhatan. Many indentured servants thought their treatment was unfair. The government gave more rights to white people because they thought they were going to rebel with the Black servants. So they made the Black servants into slaves and white indentured servants got freedom. Black slaves were dehumanized and they were weak from the labor they did.
