Johnny Depp has hit back at a report he stormed off the Gold Coast set of Pirates Of The Caribbean on Wednesday evening, and was fleeing Australia in an effort to salvage his marriage to wife, Amber Heard.
The 51-year-old actor's publicist told the Brisbane Times that there was no truth to the allegations, and that filming for the movie was on schedule.
'I can't go into detail on our filming schedules or the movements of individuals but I can tell you that nothing in that report has any relation to reality,' Depp's publicist Michael Singer said.
It is thought that Depp may be heading back to the US to celebrate his daughter Lily-Rose's 16th birthday next week, and a source told the publication that a pause in production had always been planned.
The new development comes after the Courier Mail had alleged the actor quite literally abandoned the makeshift 'Black Pearl' ship used in his movie on Wednesday night, before the cast and crew had even begun filming.
The publication reported that Depp was looking at getting on the next available chartered flight out of Australia so he could rush to be by his wife's side.
The couple recently had a tumultuous time Down Under, after the Australian government threatened to put down their two tiny terrier dogs, Pistol and Boo, after they illegally brought them into the country last month, without taking the necessary quarantine steps.
