Description:

- technically the athenians and the spartans were in a truce, but a spartan harmost decided to do a raid on athens
- had a great idea of doing a night march and capturing the pyreius (?)
by daybreak he was discovered and had to turn back
- retreated but pillaged the towns he went through on the way back, wasn't even punished → pushed athens into an alliance
