mar 14, 1939 - Italian Invasion of Anglo-Egyptian Sudan

Description:

At 03:00, Italy arrives in Kassala with three army columns from Italian East Africa.
Kassala was in Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, just across the border.

Italian forces were able to seize the town after overcoming initial resistance from the Sudan Defence Force.

Gallabat and Kurmuk would also be occupied by Italy.

Due to a lack of fuel for their armoured divisions, the Italians would call off their advance in Anglo-Egyptian Sudan.
