aug 16, 1924 - Dawes Plan
Description:
made by Charles Dawes and signed in London in 1924. what he did was he came up with a way that Germany could get rid of their loans with America getting rich of the back of it. also this plan was to get the France troops out of the Ruhr which was successful with them leaving in 1926.
1) America would loan/give money to Germany then...
2) Germany would use this money to build their economy and then any profit they made with increased taxes they would give to France to pay off their monthly war debt
3) then with that money France had they would give that straight away to America so they could pay of American loans from the war as well. and also imports US goods to held France rebuild.
