aug 2, 520 BC - Yahweh speaks through Haggai

Description:

Haggai speaks to Zerubbabel (1/1 1st of Elul) and Jeshua the High Priest, and chastises the people for not fighting for the reconstruction of the Temple.

They lived in their own 'cieled' houses and Yahweh's house lies waste (v 2-4).

They are now into the second year of the reign of Darius Hystaspis. (Hag 1/1)

Haggai reassured the people that Yahweh was with them (v13) and this stirred their spirit and the work of reconstruction was continued on the 24/Elul (25/August 520 BC)
