0h 28min, may 17, 1918 y - 1918, Canadian suffragettes hold a mock parliment to win the right to vote
Description:
The war time act of 1917 gave women the right to vote, as all the men old enough to vote were serving overseas. But as the war was ending women were going to have to give up that right. Through dedicated activism and protest, women of 21 years of age and older were given the right to vote in federal elections. Women gaining more freedom and rights totally changes how Canada begins to evolve as a country.
