A general-purpose, procedural, imperative computer programming language. C has become one of the most widely used programming languages of all time, subsequent generations of it such as C# and C++ are frequently used in development. It was developed by Dennis M. Ritchie at the Bell Telephone Laboratories in order to create the Unix operating system.
