Description:

Beginning on April 5th, people in 10 U.S. cities began a sit-in to protest against government regulations against disabled people. The longest sit-in occurred in San Francisco, where it lasted 3.5 weeks. Eventually, the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare, Joseph Califano, agreed to sign Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, allowing adequate conditions for disabled people.
