Description:
Under the rule of Philip II, Macedonia won a decisive victory over both Athens and Thebes, thus gaining control over Greece. Philip II stayed in power until 336 B.C.E when an assassins ended his life. Afterwards, His son Alexander took over. This also resulted in the end of the Classical period, and the start of the Hellinistic period.
