jul 28, 1932 - Bonus Army Attacked

Description:

The veterans of WWI organized and marched to Washington DC, to ask Congress for some of their bonus they were promised to be paid in 1945. Herbert Hoover called them Red Agitators and had troops lead by Douglas MacArthur attack them using tear gas, tanks, and guns. More than 100 were injured and 2 babies died.
