oct 29, 1929 - Stock Market Crashes
Description:
During the 1920s, the American economy was rapidly growing as people bought wildly on credit. In August 1929, the stock market hit it’s peak and began to decline. On October 18, it began to fall and on October 24, known as Black Thursday, over 10 million shares were traded as people desperately attempted to get their money back. October 29, Black Tuesday, marks the day that the stock market went into free fall and stock prices collapsed completely. The United States fell into the Great Depression.
