The spark of WWI was the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand. Not soon after two sides were created. The Central Powers included Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire (present day Turkey), and Bulgaria. The Allied Powers included Britain, France, Russia, Italy, and the United States. And World War I had begun.
