Description:

Made to exhibit zen Buddhism, a type of buddhism that is based on self enlightenment. Mirror pond located to the left of the entrance. Contains a rock garden, in rock gardens, white gravel symbolizes flowing elements and rocks represent islands. Hōjō is the abbot of the zen garden’s personal study. It’s past is unknown except for a few things and it is known that there were originally nine stones that symbolized cubs crossing a river. Depict some Chinese themes. Made in Kyoto, Japan.
