jan 1, 1517 - Reformation Climax: 95 Theses G
Description:
Martin Luther "begins" the Reformation, though the change was in the air for a while already. His unique context caused the Reformation to spread throughout Europe. The invention of the printing press ensured that the reformation would not stay local like previous ones.
Originally posted 97 theses for scholars, but nobody seemed interested. As second effort, he posted 95 to Wittenberg door which was translated from Latin into German and then printed.
