He was considered to be the greatest king of the empire, Nebuchadnezzar II (or Nebuchadrezzar II. He was known for restoring Babylon to its former glory. He was responsible for the construction of the hanging gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World. It was also during his time that the Ishtar Gate was built. He died in 561 bce.
