Initially only released on their website, Dior began the rollout of the Johnny Depp Melody of Scents campaign across social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube from 9 October 2021 onwards. This tied in with a poster campaign, the new look appearing in-store and the various edits of the TV Commercial on frequent rotation within the most high profile programmes globally.
The ‘advertorial’ style advertising also continued alongside the more regular style press advertising.
The full version of Johnny Depp’s ‘Melody of Scents’ is 2.25 long but most of the social media used a 37 second edited version.
