Description:
General Macarthur is made the supreme allied commander in the Pacific. He ends up retreating to Australia when the Japanese invade the islands. Macarthur vows to return one day. On May 6th Japan Successfully captures the Philippines. The Bataan death march: 60,000 Prisoners marched 70 miles through rough and dangerous jungles. They were being sent to camps similar to the concentration camps in Germany with cruel and violent treatment. 10,000 soldiers ended up dying from starvation and by May 1942 the only two locations the US owned in the Pacific was the Midway Islands and Hawaii. In WW2 this event was tragic, but inspired many soldiers back home to go fight harder and save their fellow soldiers. America has even more reason to invade Japan and show little mercy in order to save our citizens.
