(Term 1 Event) This was the first fight between the English soldiers and colonists in which people were killed. It occurred in Boston, Massachusetts when Captain Preston's soldiers fired on antagonizing colonists.

2. Got people who weren't previously a part of the political war involved when they found out about this ruthless act.
3. Was used as tool to inspire rebellion and revolutionary ideas in the hearts of the colonists.
