The Electrovoice RE20 is a Dynamic mic with a unidirectional response. Frequency response 40 – 18,000 Hz. I’m not sure when the microphone was invented but there is a picture from the 1986 with the microphone. The mic was originally used for radio but today it is used for vocals.Added to timeline:
