mar 18, 1766 - Declaratory Acts are Passed

Description:

The Declaratory Acts were passed the same day that the Stamp Act was repealed. This gave Parliament total legislative control over the American colonies. They had authority to make all the laws, and did this to grow their empire. This led to the Townshend Acts, because the Townshend Acts were a way to pay for the expenses.
