jan 2, 1934 - Kodak released the first preloaded 35mm cassettes in 1934. Prior to the invention of preloaded cassettes, photographers had to load their own film into reusable cassettes in a dark room. Pre-loaded cassettes allowed photographers to switch rolls of film on-the-go.
