Description:

On February 15th, 1898, the U.S.S. Maine blew up in the harbor of Havana, while on a rescue mission to retrieve Americans that were at risk of danger. Nobody knew why the ship exploded, however American newspapers said that Spain attacked the Maine. This signaled the start of the Spanish American War.
