Editor's Note: There are several implications raised by connecting the appearance of the nomads to the north and the southern battles for independence, and one internal contradiction. First, Thrommel I was crowned King of Furyondy in 254 CY. If read literally then this act of independence was not fully realized nor recognized by the Great Kingdom until at least 320 CY.

Second, Perrenland did not form its loose confederation until c. 400 CY primarily in response to incursions by Furyondy, Ket and nomads. If 320 CY is when the nomads first appeared in the north then the migration of these nomads may have lasted for at least 80 years and possibly longer.

However, From the Ashes rephrases the event caption to read, "Northern Nomads first reported and documented," implying that the nomads had been migrating prior to 320 CY.
Lastly, the contradiction, several passages throughout the Folio refer to the Great Kingdom's presence either in or past the Duchy of Tenh. However, the entry for the Duchy of Tenh itself relates, "[t]his realm has retained its freedom and independence down to this day."
