may 26, 1926 - The Johnson Reed/Asian Exclusion Act

Description:

The act only allowed 2% of Japanese to be admitted into the US. Japan needed an outlet for its growing population as Japan’s geography is a set of islands that are volcanic so there are certain parts that are uninhabitable, so the US’s Asian Exclusion Act made expansion necessary for the Japanese so they would be able to provide living space and resources for their citizens.
