The annexation of Korea, took Korea from being a protectorate of Japan in 1905, to it becoming a colony in 1910. The invasion of Korea, resulted in more land for it people as well as more resource to help their economy as well as resources for war. The annexation ties back into their expansion as Korea was one of the first major territories Korea obtain control over.
