aug 27, 1928 - The Kellog-Briand Pact
Description:
Japan was one of the countries involved as they signed the pact agreeing to not use war as a means of resolving disputes or conflicts. This threatened Japanese expansion, but once the pact was put to the test in response to the Mukden Incident, it was clear that the pact, and altogether, the League of Nations, had no power to execute the pact’s articles.
