nov 11, 1620 - Pilgrims Land
Description:
The pilgrims on the Mayflower landed at Provincetown Harbor on November 11, 1620. At the time of landfall the Pilgrims did not have a patent to settle this area; thus some of the passengers on the ship were beginning to question their right to land, complaining that there was no legal authority to establish a colony there. So a group of colonists drafted and ratified the first governing document of the colony known as the Mayflower Compact.
