jan 1, 1882 - Chinese Exclusion Act

Description:

In 1882, Congress barred Chinese immigration for ten year. In 1892 Congress extended this act for another 10 years. In 1902 Congress barred immigration indefinitely. I wasn't until 1943 that this law was finally repealed.
