Description:

1936年日本在日本及臺灣、朝鮮同步實施米穀自治管理政策，管制米穀的市場流通量，以抑制殖民地米傾銷日本
減低日本政府為了維持米價所帶來的財政負擔，舒緩日本農村的經濟壓力
另一方面則是壓低臺灣農民種植稻米意願，製造甘蔗生產機會，解決臺灣糖業會社的原料供應問題及滿足日本生產無水酒精的需求
