0h 30min, nov 1, 1046 y - William ambushed
Description:
William was staying at Valognes in the far West of Normandy when he was woken one night and warned that his life was in immediate danger. He leapt on his horse and rode hard accross the country, fording rivers in the dark and avoiding towns. Near Bayeaux he met a loyal lord whose sons helped him reach Falaise. From there he left Normandy for France, where he desperately appealed to Henry.
