Amber Heard has long been an advocate for LGBTQ issues, having come out as bisexual in 2010.
She recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Hetrick-Martin Institute, an organization that aims to empower LGBTQ youth through various services.
Amber Heard dazzled in a satin champagne gown Wednesday as was honored at the Hetrick-Martin Institute's Emery Awards in New York City.
The floor-length dress featured a thigh-high leg slit, revealing a pair of black patent leather dress shoes.
The ensemble was accessorized with layers of gold necklaces and matching rings and bracelets.
Her hair was styled in long waves, framing a bold red pout and a pair of blushed cheeks.
After coming out as bisexual, Heard later rejected all labels, telling Allure: 'I don't identify as anything. I'm a person. I like who I like.'
She was accompanied at the event by fellow LGBTQ activist Nico Tortorella, who was also being honored.
They cut a chic look in a black tuxedo, which they paired with an untucked black turtleneck.
