THE SECOND ROUND

In 2015, there was suddenly Hollywood Vampires: a colorful supergroup around singer Alice Cooper, actor Johnny Depp and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry. The band name turned out to be a direct reference to the mission: to keep alive the memory of the rock stars who had once succumbed to the excesses that were widespread, especially in the seventies. Several of them had been members of the Hollywood Vampires: a constantly changing club of rock stars who visited each other at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Los Angeles and where 'drinking until you can no longer stand on your feet' was the motto. Alice Cooper was the 'president' of the couple unressed. He was therefore the engine behind the musical adventure that resulted in a first record in 2015, a titleless album that mainly contained covers with the aft of its own songs. On the successor 'Rise' to be released on June 21, those proportions are exactly reversed. And there's more to come, the rocker says.
