mar 10, 1876 - Invention of the Telephone

Description:

Alexander Graham Bell is credited with the invention of the telephone in 1876, as he was the first to get a patent on the invention. As a professor of vocal physiology, Bell had worked with experimenting with recording vibrations of speech, which lead him to the creation of the telephone. While this was only short distance at the time, the invention obviously grew tremendously, revolutionizing the way that America communicated. People started getting phones in their houses by 1900 and the number grew exponentially over the next few years.
