aug 17, 1924 - N. Russell Hanson is born.

Description:

Russel Hanson was a philosopher of science who introduced innovative ways of correlating logical, historical and linguistic analyses. Hanson advanced the reasoning that observation is theory-laden. Hanson, along with other philosophers, such as Thomas Kuhn and Paul Feyerabend heaves conjecture on the “objectivity of observational evidence in another way by arguing that one can’t use empirical evidence to treat a theory without committing oneself to that very theory (Bogen).”
