Johnny Depp has donated a signed, custom guitar to an Irish charity

Hollywood star, Johnny Depp has donated a custom guitar which will be auctioned off to raise funds for an Irish charity.

Depp joins his longtime friend, The Pogues’ frontman, Shane MacGowan, in trying to raise funds for the Hope Charity.

Victoria Mary Clarke, MacGowan’s partner, shared the exciting news online, writing: ‘The beautiful Johnny Depp with his blue guitar which is signed by himself and which is up for auction now in aid of The Hope Foundation.’

The bids for Johnny Depp’s custom Epiphone guitar have so far reached €4,550, while MacGowan’s signed acoustic guitar has reached €2,850.

The Hope Foundation posted to Facebook: ‘Our annual Dublin Lunch takes place on May 17 and the live auction is always an exciting feature of the event, with amazing items up for grabs.’
