- This meeting resolution of the QIM --> ratified by congress in August at Godawalia Tank, Bombay; immediate reason was failure of Cripps Mission to excite Congress
- All prominent leaders were arrested on the next day
- Proposed by Jawahar Lal Nehru and seconded by Sardar Patel

- Gandhi gave the "Do or Die" slogan while addressing people in the meeting

- the peasant leaders such as Swami Sahajanand Saraswati appealed to the peasants not to support Gandhi or the INC(due to dissatisfaction and rift between INC leaders and All India Kishan Sabha)
