Description:

The US wanted to build a canal to connect the atlantic and pacific oceans. After deciding that best spot to build the canal was in panama they decided to ask columbia to build there, to which columbia refused. The US responded by sending warships to panama city in support of panamanian independence. Panama separated from colombia and under the new administration they created a deal with the US and began work on the canal.
