Description:

President Lincoln was assassinated on April 14th, 1865 in Ford Theater in Washington D.C. by John Wilkes Booth. President Lincoln’s assassination only came five days after the Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s surrender at Appomattox Court House. John Wilkes Booth was a confederate sympathizer and being a famous actor turned this assassination into a effective ending to the Civil War.
