apr 19, 1775 - Lexington and Concord

Description:

These were the battles that kicked off the American Revolutionary War however tensions between the thirteen colonies and British authority were increasing throughout the years. With British authority implementing The Sugar Act, The Stamp Act, The Townshend Acts created more tension between them and the American Colonies. On April 18th 1775 British troops marched to Concord from Boston but Paul Revere and other riders warned colonial militiamen and confronted troops in the town of Lexington and forced British troops to retreat.
