- formed by S.C Bose after resigning from Congress in Makur Unnao
- He was remove from post of president of Bengal Provincial Congress Committee when he gave all India protest call

- Organised Anti-Compromise Conference at Calcutta
- Organised removal of Holwell Monument in Calcutta (a monument commemorating Black Hole of Calcutta) as a nationalist protest

- Bose organised the All India Anti-Compromise Conference in March 1940 at Ramgarh (held alongside but separately from the official Congress session at Ramgarh). It later took a more organised form as the Anti-Compromise League
