- As agreed in the Delhi session in 1923, Swarajists were contending for election as a part of the congress
- They won seats in a few provinces leading to an increase in the position and strength of Swarajists inside the Congress

Details of election
#They won 42 out of 101 elected seats in the Central Legislative Assembly.
#They got a clear majority in the Central Provinces(50/69)
#They were the largest party in Bengal; and they fared quite well in Bombay and U.P, though not in Madras and Punjab because of strong casteist and communal currents

**** In legislature, in cooperation with the Liberals and the independent like Jinnah and Malaviya, they won the majority
