may 10, 1940 - Germany invades Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands

Description:

The invasion of Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands in May 1940 was simply strategic. Germany waned to invade these Western countries in preparation for the attack on France. Germany had brought this war to the Western areas so there was either war or surrendering. France did not want a war so they ended up surrendering. Obtaining these countries would provide more living space for the Germans.
